Ms. Tanya is a dance teacher and choreographer from San Diego, California. Her professional background include: San Diego Ballet, San Diego Musical Theatre, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Sea World Parks and Entertainment and Disneyland. During her time at San Diego Ballet, she had the opportunity to performed in productions such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Paquita, Firebird, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker as well as neo-classical works.
She began her formal training under the supervision of former Prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre, Tatiana Tchevchenko. She then continued to study Acting and different styles of dance including Jazz (Giordano), Flamenco, Contemporary and Tap. Before re-locating to the United States, her performing career gave her the opportunity to perform and train in Europe, South America and Mexico. In 2006 she volunteered to work at Ballet Nacional de Cuba through a non-profit organization and it was this experience that ignited her passion for teaching. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2015 where she received her Bachelors' degrees in Communications and Dance. She has been teaching dancers of all backgrounds and levels since 2003. |
